Who are we?

Who's involved in the National Bible City project?  A bunch of people from the Philadelphia region that are committed to teach people in the area the value of reading the Bible.  Our steering committee is made up of about 40 people, most of whom you can meet here: www.biblecity.org/partners

God's Story is found in the Bible, and it is the mission of the National Bible City to promote God's Story.  Through a whole bunch of different events, literature, and radio and TV media, we hope that you will be encouraged to learn more about God by reading His word.

Here is some information about the National Bible Cities Project

The National Bible Cities Project is a program focusing our efforts for National Bible Week in specific target cities each year. Each year, only one city is named The National Bible City.

National Bible Association’s signature event has been celebrated the week of Thanksgiving every year since 1941. Senators, Governors and Mayors from across the country proclaim National Bible Week in their states and towns.

Designed to raised the nation’s interest in the value and importance of reading the Bible, it is the perfect kick-off to the religious holiday season.

Why Should We read the Bible?

The Bible is the written word of God.  Don't you think that it is worth looking into at the very least?  The Bible has impacted the lives of people from the first time it was written.  And, it has application today. To learn how the Bible applies to life today, visit our "Why We Do This" section
